| Michael Emerson Handcuffed for Equality Saturday, August 29th, 2009
We here at the NOH8 Campaign are big fans of ABC's LOST. Huge, you might say. So you can imagine our excitement when we heard LOST's very own Michael Emerson - who plays the unpredictable, ever-manipulative Benjamin Linus - wanted to get involved in our cause while he was in town!
Mr. Emerson donned a pair of silver hand-cuffs for his photo - symbolizing not only his character's tendency to find himself held captive, but more importantly representing the restraints put on the GLBT community as a direct result of Proposition 8 and similar legislation around the country. Michael Emerson is the first main character from LOST to join the campaign, but we'd love for his fellow cast members to get in touch with us and join our fight for marriage equality too - so consider this your open invitation! If Benjamin Linus can do it, so can you. J That includes you, Damon and Carlton! We also want to congratulate Mr. Emerson on the recent news of his third consecutive Emmy Nomination for his portrayal of Ben on the series. Good luck at the Emmys, Michael - we're rooting for you! Upcoming Event!

Journalist and news correspondent Lisa Ling (Oprah, Nightline) so graciously made time for us this past week, finding a few minutes in her extremely busy schedule to raise awareness and show support for marriage equality.
"The dream of marriage shouldn't just be limited to heterosexual people, it's should be about two people who love each other. Period. Don't H8, it's unbecoming." - Lisa Ling
As many of you have no doubt already read or heard, Lisa has been working tirelessly on behalf of her sister, Current TV's Laura Ling, who has been detained in North Korea with fellow American journalist Euna Lee for the past four months. You can learn more about their story by visiting www.lauraandeuna.com . Both women were recently sentenced to 12 years of reform through labor by the North Korean government, and they need our help now more than ever.
Lisa took the time to support our community, so please help us support Laura Ling and Euna Lee by signing the amnesty petition online here : http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/131375038 ). It will only take a moment of your time, and would mean a lot to the families fighting to bring Laura and Euna home.
Use your voice today to do the right thing and help rescue these women; your fellow Americans. Be heard.

4TH OF JULY CELEB-RATION! Saturday, July 4th, 2009 11:59 PM PST
Happy 4th of July everybody! We hope you all have a fun and safe weekend with your friends and family. Make sure to check out your local fireworks! :)
On the day we're celebrating our country's independence and freedom from oppression, it's important that we don't forget that our community is still fighting for ours. The majority of our country is still deciding the rights the minority, which is incredibly ironic when you think about it, given what our Independence Day is supposed to represent. They're refusing to separate church and state in the process, which makes it even worse.
Every American deserves to be equal, no matter what race, beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, or any number of other characteristics. Until state legislation like Prop 8 is repealed and gay and lesbians all over the country are granted federal marriage equality, we're never going to be as "free" as our fellow citizens.
That's why we all have to keep on fighting the good fight, and hopefully someday soon we'll be celebrating our own freedom from oppression!
To celebrate the 4th and help us remember what we're fighting for, we thought we'd share a few of our recent additions to the campaign roster!
American Idol stars Mikalah Gordon and Blake Lewis showed up last week willing to silence themselves for our cause, as well as publicist BJ Coleman, TV Host Dave Holmes, and comedian Erin Foley, and actor Kadeem Hardison.
House of Payne star Denyce Lawton, High School Musical's Oleysa Rulin, Days of Our Lives' Taylor Spreitler and actress Tatyana Ali are just some of our recent actresses joining the campaign. From the reality spectrum, we have Brooke Knows Best star and choreographer Glenn Douglas Packard with his boyfriend, model Daniel Miagany, Survivor's Sugar, and Big Brother-alum, celebrity stylist Marcellas Reynolds.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! View more updates and new photos @ NOH8CAMPAIGN.COM To keep up on latest updates, SUBSCRIBE to my blog. Updated frequently and always has the newest examples of my work. Thanks for your support!

| | AMERICA'S GAY BACHELORS AGAINST H8 Sunday, June 22nd, 2009
We recently had the opportunity to take the NO H8 Campaign outside the confines of the LA area for the first time since we started months ago, and we had a blast!

MyPartner.com, a relationship match-making site for gay men, held their second annual America's Gay Bachelor Event this past weekend in downtown San Diego at the W Hotel. We were invited to come down and take photos for the 5 finalists and event organizers, and we had an incredible time! Congratulations to America's Gay Bachelor 2009, Mr. California (Alejandro Rubio)!

Other finalists included Mr. Indiana, Mr. Rhode Island, Mr. Arizona, and Mr. Massachusetts - all of whom you can find on MyPartner.com. We also had the opportunity to shoot celebrity judge Jesse Brune of Bravo's WorkOut fame and the emcee of the event, Rufskin's Jason Wimberly. Last but not least, MyPartner.com President Patrick H. Perrine and 2008's AGB, Abel Lima of Rhode Island!
